COMPOSER Jacques Rebotier writes free music, expressive, often linked to the text, or turning towards instrumental theater. Language games, formes, sound and leaning sliding, the work of Jacques Rebotier is preciseness about all aspects of sentence and enunciation, tones, emphasis, rythm, flow. From Requiem to symphony orchestra, from his 2 x 66 Brèves for muiscians-speakers to his musical room theater, his works was created by l'Ensemble 2E2M, l'Ensemble Intercontemporain, Ars Nova, Accroche Note, Aleph, l’Orchestre National de Jazz, Les Cris de Paris, l'Ensemble Sillages, l'Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Orchestre National d'Île-de-France, l'Ensemble Court-Circuit, le Quatuor Tana and his own company voQue.
POET Jacques Rebotier is the author of more than fifteen books edited by Gallimard, Verticales, Harpo &, Actes sud, La Ville brûle or Æncrages & Co. His theater is published by Les Solitaires intempestifs. As a performer, he is regulary invited to tell his text, alone or with musicians, singers, actors.
DIRECTOR His shows are disturbing and happy. He mixed a demandind writing with a unusual spirit, or « incongruous » : which refuses to mix. In 1992, he founded the company voQue : music group and oral company which created the most part of his creations in La Comédie Française, in the Théâtre National de Chaillot, in the Théâtre Nanterre-Amandiers, in the Théâtre National de Strasbourg, in the Opéras de Paris, Lyon, Montpellier, Lille and in numerous countries.
